Buffalo Plaid and Faux Fur

There's just something about the weather lately that has made me crave warm, comfy plaid. I waited with anticipation to receive my red plaid tunic from Dresslink.com (see this post) and when I got it, it didn't fit. More on that later, but since I now craved a red buffalo plaid tunic, I started looking for it everywhere. Like many fall items, the best options of popular items sell out early so most of the ones I found were already sold out online. That's why when I was walking through Marshalls with my hubby and saw this one, I snatched it up immediately.

I feel really terrible for having a post with so many items that I can't link directly. I hate when bloggers do that. But when it comes down to it, one of the reasons I decided to blog was because I frequently found myself scouring the internet to find alternatives to the options my bloggers linked online or current options to replicate a picture I found on Pinterest. By sharing my research, I could save someone else time that I had already spent. So today, I give you outfit inspiration and the results of my research.

First, let's talk about Marshalls. Though they don't have an online store, my local stores have GREAT options this year for cheaper alternatives to the name brand labels. I found a TON of amazing faux fur vests (I had a hard time not buying more!), including the one I'm wearing. There was also a great affordable version of the popular J.Crew Factory printed puffer vest.

Buffalo plaid and faux fur vests will sell out FAST, so buy now! Another great place to search for these kinds of items are in online boutiques. After doing some sleuthing for you I came up with these options for Buffalo Plaid (here, here, here, here or here). For Zulilly, make note of when they say they will ship the item (it's not always right away) and for jane.com don't fret if the sale has already expired.
