Special Date Night Ideas
Go on a Picnic
Though it might be a little cold for some of us right now, I'm always a fan of a good picnic. Jeremy and I packed a picnic on our first date together and it was such a great way to just sit and enjoy the other person's company. If you are down south, or have an unusually warm spell right now, plan a fun Valentine's Day Picnic! What you need:

Romantic Dinner at Home
It's fun to dress up and go out but if you don't have the time or the money for a fancy dinner out, try one at home! Stop by the grocery store and pick up some nibbles - crackers, cheese, olives, nuts, meats - and some flowers for the table. Pull out the wine glasses and cook up a few appetizers from the freezer section for added fun. Then, put on a little black dress and light some candles!Celebrate for a Cause
I don't know about your town, but my town has many events throughout the year where you can do something fun while raising money for a good cause. This year, our local Johnnycake Center (a non-profit food pantry and thrift store) is doing a Chocolate March where you travel to 9 different restaurants in town to sample different chocolate-inspired food items! You can do something a little different while sampling good food and giving back to an organization that helps so many in the community. Look at the "Events in your area" on Facebook to find a way you can celebrate for a cause in your area!Play Celebrity for a Day
Every once in awhile it's fun to just do something a little spectacular and out of the ordinary! Rent a fancy car for the day and take a drive through the countryside for a day trip! Turo is a peer-to-peer car rental company with classic and rare cars all over the country. Not only is it a great way to find an affordable rental for your next trip, but there are options for car pickup or delivery! Use Groupon to find a lodge within a few hours of your home, make a reservation for dinner or a spa date and pull up in a fancy red BMW!Dress for Your Valentine's Date

Thanks Amy! I know, we are likely to have snow here in New England but my sister down south says February is better for picnics than June or July!
