More to Mrs. E: #Nsale Deals: Under $100, $50 and Designer Deals

Ok people, Early Access for the best sale of the season started Tuesday and the deals are great! For those who want to invest in quality clothing that will last for years, love free shipping and free returns, or simply like to plan ahead, the #Nsale is for you! Nordstrom has a great selection of clothing and accessories at all different price points. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a great time to buy designer purses and boots at sale prices or stock up on items for fall and winter. The items I purchased last year at the Anniversary sale I wore all through the fall, winter and spring. Even better, if they don't carry the item you're looking for in-store or you are not sure of the correct size, they have free returns to any Nordstrom store or through the mail! So, take advantage of these deals because many of them will sell out quickly. In fact, some items have already sold out (though they may restock)!

Tuesday morning (the day Early Access was opened for Nordstrom cardholders) I woke up bright and early to comb through products online before going to the store itself and sampling some of the items they had in stock in order to review them for you. I have broken up my recommendations into a number of categories but since there are so many great deals, I have had to break this post up into two posts. Today will be part 1, broken down by price. Then Thursday, the day before they open the sale up to everyone, I will post my recommendations for various categories like outerwear, boots and teacher essentials.

Under $50: Wear Now

In the store I tried on the Kate Spade Cuff ($78 after the sale!) and the Olive Shirtdress. The Kate Spade Cuff was so beautiful and great for people with small wrists. The Olive Shirtdress almost went into my cart but, though it was actually long enough on me (!), it rode up a little too high when I lifted my arm (not great for a teacher who writes on the board all the time). That being said, see below for fit.

As for the other deals, the Sleeveless Midi Dress is great to wear during cool summer evenings and layer under cardigans (like this one) in the fall! The Stila combo is basically 2 for the price of one of those products, both of which are favorites of mine! Then, a cargo vest for under $40?! Snag it now before it's gone! It will be hard to find affordable ones in the fall!

In-store I tried on the hat (comes in red, black and green!), the Olive shirtdress (see above), the Plaid Tunic, the Olive Sweater, BP Cardigan Sweater, and the Shawl Neck Sweater. I purchased a number of those items as staples for my teacher wardrobe for the fall. Though I will talk more about that on Thursday, I wanted to tell you a few things about some of the products. First of all, the Orange Shawl Cardigan (comes in 3 colors) is SO SOFT, as is the Olive Sweater. I have to take one of them back to meet my budget for the month and can't decide which one! The Plaid Tunic is quite long in the back (great over leggings) but I found it too wide, so I would recommend sizing down. The BP Cardigan sweater is a MUST HAVE for fall. It comes in so many colors and is a great length for wearing on its own or layering under a cozy blanket scarf for fall!
