Spring Outfit Shopping List

Spring Outfit Shopping List

When it's dark and rainy outside I just want to grab a coffee and curl up with a book. Lately the weather has been toying with us. I wake up to sun and I leave work to dark skies or a downpour. It has made photographing outfits much more difficult and has led me to spend a lot more time looking at outfit ideas online!

Spring may just be my favorite time for outfit planning because I just love the bright colors! So lately I have been perusing Pinterest, looking for inspiration during this dark weather and then have scoured the internet to find some of those pieces that can spice up what I already have. So this week I decided to share with you some of the items I've ordered and have been loving and some of the items I still have my eye on.

What I've been Loving:

What I've been loving for spring

  1. Exact Stretch Ankle Pant - After looking at tons of outfit inspiration on Pinterest and then perusing my closet, I realized that I needed a few more pairs of work pants that I would actually wear, especially black cropped ones. Yasi over at Hello, Gorgeous! recommended these pants about a month ago and I checked them out on her recommendation. I completely understand why she loves them so much. The Exact Stretch Pants are a perfect fit for me! They're a little pricey but I bought mine on a 50% off sale and know I will wear them a TON from here on out.
  2. Polka Dot Blouse - Patterned blouses are a great closet staple
  3. .. I wear them under cardigans and sweaters, or on their own with a bold pant. I got this one a little over a month ago and was disappointed that the threads around the button holes kept getting caught on the buttons. I asked one of the ladies at my church what I should do and she recommended snipping through the threads and then using Fray Check to keep the edges from fraying. Now I LOVE it. It's definitely a blouse to wear with a shirt underneath, but I love how loose it is. I wore it in an Instagram post last week. I'm sure you will see it in a future blog post. It is true to size, though a little loose. (My new favorite from this same site is this Floral Blouse. The fabric is so soft and, even though it is tight around the waist, it's the PERFECT floral for me. I ordered one size up, a L.)
  4. Leopard Pumps - What can I say, I love leopard! I keep wearing these shoes because they seriously go with everything. Plus, I love how they look paired with the next item on this list.
  5. Structured Caramel Tote - I have decided to use part of my budget every month to update my collection of bags. Cognac/Caramel is a great color for spring so I started my collection with this gorgeous bag! It's so beautiful and so sturdy, I know I'm going to love it for a long time.
