Another way to wear that hat (which has quickly become a constant outfit accessory for me)
And now...for an incredible DIY Christmas gift idea!
Though this picture didn't show up on Instagram, I am so excited to share with you an affordable DIY Christmas gift for friends and relatives. I have been looking at blanket scarves for so long now and just can't get myself to spend the $30 to $40 for one. Then, one night I thought...I bet I could MAKE one of those! Sure enough, Pinterest delivered. I used a tutorial from The DIY Mommy, here. I stopped by Jo-Ann Fabrics when they had a sale and ended up creating 4 of these for a little under $10 each.
I used 41" flannel fabric. This one works well but it would be nice if it was a little bigger. Blanket scarves are typically 55" x 55".
Next time I will use wider fabric. On Fabric.com there are some great 56" options. See here, here and here.
Here is a way I wore that scarf on Instagram.
The skirt I'm wearing in this picture is also a great Christmas buy. Chicwish ships internationally so it takes a little longer to ship but it has great quality and styles. If you order from them, make sure to read the reviews. Most of the time you want to size up! I'm wearing a Large in this picture.
The full outfit...
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure to check back later in the week when I'll be posting some great Christmas shopping options, including Black Friday Sales!
